Shetland Fair Isle: Samedi/ Saturday 13.07.2013. Lerwick

Je vais prendre une douche au club. Nous nous inscrivons (pour la troisième fois) dans le livre des visiteurs. Je passe aussi voir Louise, de « Spider Web », la dame à la boutique de tricots magnifiques. Nous sommes contentes de nous revoir.

Un groupe de filles enterrent la vie de jeune fille d’une de leurs copines. Elles sont déguisées et posent pour une photo sur la plage. Les pauvres, elles n’ont pas l’air d’avoir chaud.

Au port, un bateau le plus à l’intérieur (de 4 bateaux) veut partir. Tous les hommes sont sur le pont et ça tire, ça pousse et enfin il peut partir.

Nous faisons une promenade à pied en longeant la mer, vers le golf, vers le sud. Les jardins sont très fleuris, bien protégés du vent.

Lunch au bateau et re-promenade vers le nord cette fois.

Nous dinons au Queen Hotel. La salle de restaurant n’a pas du changer depuis 50 ans, boiseries marrons, murs beiges et fenêtres à courants d’air. Mais nous apprécions un bon repas sans faire la cuisine.

Nous rendons visite ensuite à Ulf et Pia. Ils nous montrent le film qu’ils ont tourné à Svalbard (google : s/y Clary, Svalbard). Rentrons vers une heure du matin.

I'll take a shower at the club. We write our name (for the third time) in the guestbook. I go to see Louise, at the "Spider Web", the lady at the shop with beautiful knitwear. We are happy to see each other again.

A group of girls are making a party for one of their friends who is getting married soon. They are disguised and pose for a photo on the beach. The poor girls, they are really freezing.

In port, the innermost boat (of 4) wants to leave. All men are on deck and they pulls, and they push and finally she can leave.

We take a walk along the sea, to the golf course, to the south. The gardens have many flowers, well protected from the wind.

Lunch at the boat and another walk, northwards this time.

We dine at the Queen Hotel. The restaurant has not changed for 50 years, brown wood, beige walls and old drafty windows. But we enjoy a good meal without cooking it.

We visit then Ulf and Pia on their boat. They show us the film they took in Svalbard (google: s / y Clary, Svalbard). We go home at one o’clock in the morning.
